Hide Full Description

We look forward to welcoming you to the second PCDS surgical course to take place in our capital city of London.

Skin surgery is a very interesting and important part of GP work, but GPs who undertake skin surgery need to be safe, confident and up-to-date with techniques and guidelines. This course is designed to be very ‘hands-on’ with a large proportion of the course time spent in practical sessions backed up by factual lectures and operating videos clips.

The tutors will be Plastic Surgeons, Clinical Assistants and experienced GPwSIs in Dermatology. The number of delegates for these courses is restricted to allow an approximate ratio of 1 tutor to 4 delegates to ensure each delegate has an intensive learning experience suitable to their surgical capabilities. Use of minor surgery instruments and pig skin will give a realistic feel to surgery.

Delegates will be assessed pre-course to ensure that groups of similar abilities work together. A final assessment at the end will provide delegates with feedback on their progress during the course.

Please take time to read and note the course pre-requisites outlined on the booking form and I look forward to meeting you in London in October.
