A-Z of clinical guidance - how to use

The clinical guidance section is an educational tool, written in chapters very much like an up to date dermatology text book. Each chapter introduces the relevant skin condition, highlights key diagnostic features and provides advice on management.

  • Skin conditions for which chapters have been completed can be found on the A-Z list of clinical guidance
  • If there is diagnostic uncertainty please refer to the diagnostic tables on skin lesions, and general dermatology

Notes about off-label treatments - the PCDS website occasionally refers to off-label treatments, this is where medications are prescribed for an unapproved indication. Such practice is not uncommon in dermatology but must always be discussed with patients and documented in medical records.
