Clods
Dermoscopic Description
Solid structures, often round or oval-shaped but can be irregular. They are large enough to see what shape they are and have a well-defined edge. Any colour. Some clods have a metaphorical name - globules, comedo-like openings, lacunae, and ovoid nests.
Lesions in which the structures arise
Clods is the descriptive term that encompasses many metaphorical terms such as globules (melanocytic lesions), ovoid nests (BCC), comedo-like openings (mainly seborrhoeic keratoses, occasionally melanocytic lesions), milia-like cysts, and lacunae (angioma).
