Fissures and ridges

Dermoscopic Description
Most commonly used as a descriptive term in seborrheic keratoses with a cerebriform pattern. An alternative to gyri and sulci. Also used to describe the raised (ridge) and grooved (fissure) parts of the dermatoglyphs (fingerprints) on the palms and soles.

Lesions in which the structures arise
Some seborrhoeic keratoses. Normal palmar and plantar skin.
