Structureless

Dermoscopic Description
All or part of a lesion devoid of any dermoscopic structures.

Lesions in which the structures arise
Blue naevi are often completely structureless. Benign and congenital melanocytic naevi can have regular structureless areas, which are often brown or skin colour. Eccentric structureless areas, found in melanoma, can be any colour - they may also be irregular in shape. In some high-grade dysplastic naevi and Spitz/Reed naevi the structureless area is more central/symmetrical but involves much of the lesion.
