PCDS Management Team

Siobhan Wastie, Managing Director,
Signature Healthcare Communications

(Commercial Director, PCDS)

Siobhan graduated from the school of life many moons ago!  Having found the wonderful world of pharmaceutical public relations and medical education in 1993 she wondered why she had never known a career like this existed!

In 1994 she was working for a small specialist PR consultancy in Oxford who were retained by Leo Pharma on their Dovonex range of products.  The then Medical Director at Leo had noticed that there was a forum for consultant dermatologists but nothing existed for general practitioners.  He gave the PR company the mission to develop an Executive Committee for such a group of GPs which went on to become the Primary Care Dermatology Society.  She’s been following them around ever since one way or another.

In 2003 Tim Mitchell asked Siobhan to help the Society become independent and the rest, as they say, is history.  Carol Singleton joined the agency at the same time and became part of the PCDS team.  The corporate sponsorship programme was developed at that time and has been running successfully ever since.

Outside of work she enjoys family life, travel, dogs and horses.  She is a keen horse rider and breeds black Labrador dogs as a hobby.  She enjoys adventure and frequently subjects Carol to new challenges!

Carol Singleton,
Signature Healthcare Communications

Senior Account Director SHC (PCDS Business Manager)

Carol initially studied and successfully gained a Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development qualification. She transferred these skills to healthcare communications in 2003 to assist with the business management of the Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS) from 2003 with Siobhan. Carol joined Signature Healthcare Communications in April 2009 and continues to manage the daily activities of the PCDS; she has gained extensive knowledge required to administer the secretariat and is a familiar face to many society members.

Carol has a wealth of experience in event management working in a calm, organised manner, paying much attention to detail. She has organised and facilitated events of all sizes, from a handful of delegates to 300 plus.

Outside of work, she is a proud grandparent of four and enjoys being with them when time allows. She has a keen interest in travelling and hopes to visit more destinations on her bucket list before too long. Carol enjoys being challenged to new adventures, which have included learning to horse ride, driving a tank, hurtling down a canyon on a zip wire in New Zealand, successfully over-turning a ski-mobile and nearly drowning whilst white water rafting (all captured with photographic evidence)!
